The problem of lemons and why we must retain juvenile crime records

Article Abstract:

The practice of expunging records on crimes committed by youth when they reach adulthood has no proven societal benefit and may even lead to further deterioration of social conditions. While it is praise-worthy to give the youth a chance to become responsible citizens without the stigma of carrying a criminal record, the youth of the 1980s and 1990s have become increasingly involved in hard core crimes. These delinquents have no fear of repeating their crimes since the juvenile judges will not be able to tell whether they are first-time offenders or repeat offenders.

Museum Magic

Article Abstract:

Visiting art museums and looking at an artist's work, gives a viewer only a broken picture of how the work has changed with time. Computer images available on demand would allow museums to protect their precious originals while consumers could access in depth the collection of a given artist.
