The status of the Uniform guidelines on Employee selection procedures

Article Abstract:

Analysis of the uniform guidelines on employee selection procedures is given. Taking into account the changes made by the Civil rights act of 1991, this article gives some suggestions on how personnel managers should handle and modify the uniform guidelines.

This paper gives analysis and suggestions as to what may be revised if ever the Uniform Guidelines on Employee selection procedure is updated. Changes proposed in this paper have been researched and given discussion in this paper.

Separating Law and professional practice from politics

Article Abstract:

A review of the current state of employment selection law is given. The article goes on to analyze why changes were not made since 1978 and how employers should address the lack of guidelines in their employment practices.
