Article Abstract:

The wealth-democracy nexus is strong not only in western nations but in other parts of the world except oil-rich non-democratic Arab nations. Education is an important factor influencing democracy in two ways, with higher level of education leading to better processes and institutions and higher incomes resulting in heightened sense of democratic participation of the citizens.
