A characteristic reactive hypoglycemia induced by rapid change of eating behavior in anorexia nervosa: a case report

Article Abstract:

This article discusses the relationship between reactive hypoglycemia, insulin metabolism, and eating behavior in anorexia nervosa. The authors, evaluating a case study of an anorexic patient, conclude that a rapid increase of energy intake may cause reactive hypoglycemia with an elevated level of insulin secretion during an early phase of recovery.
