A preliminary investigation into the feasibility and efficacy of a CD-ROM-based cognitive-behavioral self-help intervention for Bulimia Nervosa

Article Abstract:

The feasibility and efficacy of a novel CD-ROM based cognitive-behavioural multimedia self-help intervention was evaluated for the treatment of bulimia nervosa. Patients of bulimia nervosa were offered eight sessions of a novel CD-ROM cognitive-behavioral self-help treatment without any added therapist input.

Guided self-help versus cognitive-behavioral group therapy in the treatment of Bulimia Nervosa

Article Abstract:

A study was presented to evaluate whether the short and long-term treatment of bulimia nervosa is guided effectively by the self-help study. It is shown that the self-help manual offers an approach that can be effective in treatment of bulimia nervosa.

Neuropsychological study of underweight and "weight-recovered" anorexia nervosa compared with bulimia nervosa and normal controls

Article Abstract:

A study compared executive, memory and visuospatial functioning of DSM-IV anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and normal controls. Results showed that attentional impairment was similar in anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa.
