Anorexia by proxy: are the children of anorexia mothers an at-risk group?

Article Abstract:

A study shows that maternal anorexia may lead to similar problems in the children. Anorexic mothers tend to restrict their children's food intake and the children react in different ways. Some children exhibit extreme cleanliness while eating, some overeat and some may consume less food. An analysis of the case studies of three children is given.
