Bullied by siblings : association with peer victimisation and behaviour problems in Israerli lower secondary school children

Article Abstract:

A cross sectional investigation in one Arab and one Jewish lower secondary school in Israel to study differential effects of physical, verbal and relational bullying, distinction and overlapping of different bullyings, bullying's association with behaviour problems and effect of sibling relationship on the bullying behaviour in children was done by questioning children. The study shows that bullying is a pervasive phenomenon and the intervention programmes should go beyond the school level and take into account the sibling relationship at home.

Population level assessment of the family risk factors related to the onset or persistence of children's mental health problems

Article Abstract:

The performance of the Family Risk Factor Checklist-Parent (FRFC-P) in the first role, as a checklist of children's risk factor exposure for use at a population level is examined. The FRFC-P was used to examine the relative importance of the different risk domains in relation to both the one-year onset of mental health problems and the one-year persistence of mental health problems.

Adult psychosocial functioning following childhood cancer: the different roles of sons' and daughters' relationships with their fathers and mothers

Article Abstract:

A study conducted to examine the role of relationships with parents as a possible mediating factor. The parent-child relationship in the transition from adolescence to adult life, in promoting or restraining long-term patterns of social functioning among survivors of childhood cancer is presented. The result of the study is presented.
