Detection of back random responding: effectiveness of MMPI-2 and Personality Assessment Inventory Validity Indices

Article Abstract:

Two experiments were conducted to detect the effects of back random responding (BRR) on Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory-2 (MMPI-2) and Personality Assessment Inventory (PAI).The first exeriment revealed the relative resistance of the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory-2 (MMPI-2) Clinical and Content scales to the effects of back random responding (BRR). The second experiment showed greater susceptibility of the Personality Assessment Inventory (PAI) interpretive scales to the effects of BRR.

The representations of four personality disorders by the schedule for nonadaptive and adaptive personality dimensional model of personality

Article Abstract:

The relationship of the Schedule for Nonadaptive and Adaptive Personality (SNAP) model of personality and the 4 targeted personality disorders (PDs) in a large multisite sample of patients is examined. Results reveal that the model helps differentiate normal from abnormal personality and distinguish specific PDs.

Circumplex structure and personality disorder correlates of the interpersonal problems model (IIP - C): Construct validity and clinical implications

Article Abstract:

The construct validity of the circumplex model of the Inventory of Interpersonal Problems is assessed using Norwegian clinical and nonclinical samples. The validity results were similar to predictions which provided direct evidence for agreement between self-report and expert judgements of interpersonal problems.
