Dissociation between features and feature relations in infant memory: Effects of memory load

Article Abstract:

Experiments to examine the effects of the number of features and feature relations on learning and memory in infants were undertaken. It was concluded that there is selective constraint on infant long-term memory for relational information, suggesting that features and relations are psychologically distinct in infancy, as in adulthood. Also that the organization of perceptual processing is paralleled by memory organization.

Generalization of deferred imitation during the first year of life

Article Abstract:

Three experiments with the help of an imitation task investigated whether infants younger than 12 months of age might generalize imitation if conditions were more like those in operant studies. The findings provided evidence that memory development during infancy is a continuous function.
