Dual task demands and gist-based false recognition of pictures in younger and older adults

The relationship to degree of attention to performing a task and memory of the task are examined. Topics include experiments regarding true and false recognition, and younger study and older control groups.

Similarity and associative recognition

Article Abstract:

Participants tested for how similarity affects associative recognition proved more likely to give positive responses when test pairs consisted of related than unrelated words. This finding challenges earlier research that showed how similarity enhanced association.
