Effects of music therapy for children and adolescents with psychopathology: a meta-analysis

Article Abstract:

The overall effect of music therapy on children and adolescents with psychopathology is examined considering the influence of type of pathology, client's age, music therapy approach, and type of outcome. The examination revealed that music therapy has a medium to large positive implication on behavioral and developmental disorders.

A questionnaire for screening a broad range of DSM-defined anxiety disorder symptoms in clinically referred children and adolescents

Article Abstract:

American Psychiatric Association, say that children and adolescents mainly suffer from a variety of anxiety disorders like, separation anxiety, specific phobias, acute stress disorder. A questionnaire was developed to measure these anxiety disorders, which showed girls displaying higher anxiety disorder symptoms than boys.

Emotion recognition/understanding ability in hearing or vision-impaired children: do sounds, sights or words make the difference?

Article Abstract:

A comparison between hearing impaired children, vision impaired children and normal children is made. The vision impaired children, show an emotion recognition deficit, among the hearing impaired children, emotion recognition is significantly delayed.
