Eight-year comparative analyses of adolescent rapists, adolescent child molesters, and other adolescent delinquents, and the general population

Article Abstract:

This article examines the rates of sexual assault among adolescent sex offenders and juvenile delinquents in an eight-year period following release from a correctional institution. Findings indicate that adolescents who had previously committed sex crimes were more likely to commit a sex crime upon release when compared non-sex offending delinquents.

A comparison of treatment outcomes between adolescent rapists and child sexual offenders

Article Abstract:

An important element of mental health commitment is the prediction of future criminal behavior. Adolescent rapists and adolescent child molesters committed for their offenses show no difference in amenability to psychotherapy and in the ability of the mental health professionals involved with them to predict future criminal behavior. There is a need for aftercare of such individuals.
