Health services use in women with a history of bulimia nervosa or binge eating disorder

Article Abstract:

The healthcare services use in women suffering from bulimia nervosa was compared with women with non-eating disorders. The results showed that history of binge eating disorders (bulimia nervosa) were associated with elevated health services use and also showed clinical and economical impact of these eating disorders.

Night eating syndrome in young adult women: Prevalence and correlates

Article Abstract:

The prevalence and clinical significance of night eating syndrome (NES) in a community cohort of African-American and White women is examined. Results revealed that Black NES women were significantly less likely than Black non-NES women to be overweight and significantly more likely to have two or more children.

Childhood risk factors for bulimia nervosa for binge-eating disorders (BN/BED) are examined from the data collected from a ten year long National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute Growth and Health Study.
