In search of personality: reflections on the case of King George

Article Abstract:

A paper on the impact of stress on the mental and physical health of King George III is a welcome contribution to psychological investigation. The paper employed a complex statistical approach to reexamine the psychological factors. However, several aspects of the topic remain to be addressed such as social factors as well as the king's temperament and personality traits in relation to his psychiatric and medical disorders.

Measuring subjective life satisfaction persons with severe and persistent mental illness: A measurement quality and structural model analysis

Article Abstract:

Subjective quality of life by Lehman's Quality of Life Interview (QOLI) measurements were studied. Confirmatory factor analysis undertaken on 29 QOLI subjective satisfaction items provided a contrast between first and second order factor models. Each model yielded adequate fits, although the second-order factor model offer a parsimonious explanation of first order QOLI domain correlations.
