Is it mine or is it ours? Framing property rights and decision making in social dilemmas

Article Abstract:

Framing was found to have significant effects on perceptions and decision making on property right when contextualized in social dilemmas. The results were especially evident when the initial property was presented either as partitioned or collective property and placed in a resource or public good dilemma. Decisions in resource dilemma minimized social responsibility when the initial property was presented as partitioned property.

The effect of feedback on support for a sanctioning system in a social dilemma: the difference between installing and maintaining the sanction

Article Abstract:

The effect of feedback for getting people's support to a sanctioning system in case of a social dilemma is examined. People are generally not willing to support installation of a sanctioning system but if the sanctioning system is already in place, the feedback generates strong response for its maintenance. For the purpose of this study, social dilemma is defined as a choice between personal and group interests.
