Globalisation of marketing communication?

Article Abstract:

A distinction is made among the four levels of standardization resulting from the globalization of markets: mission, proposition, concept and execution. Different or identical elements at each level may be applied across cultures, leading to global, adaptation, differentiation and local communication strategies. The variables affecting communication standardization are target-group similarity, item similarity, product/service, exogenous market factors, and the advertiser's organizational structure.

Fear and loathing no more: the emergence of collaboration between economists and psychologists

Article Abstract:

The professional deference that has evolved between economists and psychologists in the recent past is discussed. Psychologists accept the economists view for determining the actual behavior. Vice-versa, the economists are spending time in understanding the underlying factors in decision making by an individual rather than computing mere probabilities. The benefits from convergence of the two streams are assessed.
