Paternal involvement in infancy: the role of maternal and paternal attitudes

Article Abstract:

Three studies investigating the association of maternal and paternal attitudes to paternal roles and paternal bonds with their infants were undertaken. The results indicate that maternal attitude is significant in determining paternal involvement. Also, it was found that maternal and paternal attitudes is multifaceted when it comes to involvement. The study, however, is limited by the failure to determine the direction of causality.
