Regulatory focus and strategic inclinations: promotion and prevention in decision-making

The prevention focus in the decision-making process emphasizes responsibility, safety and security factors. The promotion focus in the decision-making process concentrates on accomplishment, growth and advancement. Regulatory focus, when independent of valence, can affect decision patterns or strategies related to problem solving and the performance of tasks.
