Shelters for houseless youth: a follow-up evaluation

Article Abstract:

This article evaluates two shelters for runaway and homeless youth. The authors, focusing on the outcome after the departure of the teenagers, maintain residential stability was low among most of the former shelter residents, and argue post-shelter stability was related to family relationships, length of shelter stay, and manner of departure.

Brief report: Binge drinking among high-risk male and female adolescents in Israel

Article Abstract:

The binge drinking and other alcohol-related problem behavior among high-risk male and female adolescents from alternative schools and programs is studied by collecting data from adolescents from Israel. The findings suggest adolescent binge drinking is associated with a range of problem behavior including alcohol dependence in adulthood.

Eating attitudes in a diverse sample of Israeli adolescent females: a comparison study

Article Abstract:

A study conducted on the eating habits of the Israeli Jewish female adolescents revealed that 19.5% were identified as having abnormal eating attitudes. It was concluded that eating attitude test (EAT) proved useful for screening and identifying at-risk groups in a large adolescent Israeli population.
