Sources and types of social support in youth physical activity

Article Abstract:

The influence of sources and types of social support in youth physical activities is investigated by conducting a survey among 372 youths. Results of the study indicated that a positive relation exists between social support and youth physical activity and it was also seen that friends were considered as the source of support for getting involved in physical activity.

An association between the DATI polymorphism and smoking behavior in young adults from the national longitudinal study of adolescents health

Article Abstract:

Associations between smoking behavior and polymorphism in the dopaminergic (DAT 1 and DAT 2) genes are tested by using within and between family measures of genes transmission. The study is conducted among 2, 448 young adults in United States. The study results are presented.
