Stress, depressive symptoms, and smoking cessation among pregnant women

Article Abstract:

Issues regarding perceived stress and depressive symptoms as predictors of smoking cessation during pregnancy are discussed. Reconciling conflicting findings regarding postcessation weight concerns and success in smoking cessation

Article Abstract:

This study examines the relationship between smoking cessation success and concerns about subsequent weight gain. Results indicate that conflicting findings about the effect of weight concerns on quitting success are mainly due to variable definitions of weight concern and the use of covariates in data analyses.
