Attributions in marriage: examining the entailment model in dyadic context

Article Abstract:

The effect of causal attribution on marital conflict tended to be mediated through attributions of responsibility for most married partners with children. Cross-spouse effects provided a more accurate model than one with no cross-spouse effects.

Children's attributions in the family: the children's relationship attribution measure

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to evaluate children's attributions in parent-child associations and to analyze the correlation between relationship positivity and behavior showed toward parents. The Children's Relationship Attribution Measure was utilized to determine children's attributions for parental behavior. Results revealed the importance of children's views of family processes. Findings also correlated children's attributions for parent behavior to the positivity of the relationship between parent and child.
