The causes for the death of a large number of psychiatric patients in France during the Nazi occupation and the persons responsible for it along with the influence of German ideology on this are explained.

The unfavorable policy of the Norwegian Nazi Party to extermination of the mentally ill that led to the sparing of their lives during the German occupation, 1940-45, is discussed.
