The relationship of various measures of time urgency to indices of physical health

Article Abstract:

The 2-item impatience subscale of the Irritability and Impatience Scale constitutes the instrument of choice for assessing time urgency due to its relation to noncardiovascular health. This is because the 2-item impatience subscale of the Irritability and Impatience Scale correlated with health indices in the manner as the complete Irritability and Impatience Scale and the Time Urgency/Perpetual Activation scale. Whether anger and time urgency constitutes a separate or a single factor is still in question.

Translating the Diabetes Prevention Program into a hospital-based weight loss program

Article Abstract:

The adoption of the Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) Lifestyle Intervention into University of Massachusetts Medical Center Weight Center's weight loss program is investigated. Findings revealed that the DPP was translated into the program successfully, with mean weight loss after 16 weeks of adoption at 2.27 kg or 4.6% of baseline weight. A framework for adopting DPP-based weight loss program is given.
