The structure of antisocial attitudes among violent and sexual offenders

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to examine the antisocial attitudes of a sample of 331 male adult offenders. Two factors labeled Contempt for Criminal Justice Personnel and Disrespect for Conventional Law were used. Each factor scale had a similar pattern of correlation with the index offence measures and offense data.

The generalized instructional set of the criminal attribution inventory (CRAI): socially desirable responding and faking

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to examine the relationship between a new method of assessing the cognition of criminal attributes, the Criminal Attribution Inventory (CRAI), and a measure of socially desirable responding. The study reveals the minimal relationships between socially desirable responding and the CRAI.

Antisocial constructs in predicting institutional violence among violent offenders and child molesters

Article Abstract:

Violent criminals and child molesters were found to have significant antisocial predictors in their environments. The strongest predictor for child molesters was interpersonal problems, while impulse expression and alienation often affected violent offenders.
