Training propositional reasoning

Article Abstract:

This study compares the effectiveness of four different types of experimental training on the accuracy of propositional reasoning. The results indicate that semantic training supports the construction of appropriate mental models and is the most helpful in facilitating the interpretational factors of propositional reasoning.

The influence of focus operators on syntactic processing of short relative clause sentences

Article Abstract:

The syntactical ambiguities of relative clauses in sentences are examined, focusing on the linguistic context in which the clauses exist. Experiments investigate reading times, focus operators, initial parsing, and the manner in which reduced syntactical constructions are comprehended.
