Category norms: an updated and expanded version of the Battig and Montague(1969) norms

The Battig and Montague (1969) category norms were famous as an invaluable tool for researchers in many fields. An updated and expanded version of the Battig and Montague (1969) norms based on responses from three different sites is discussed.

Separating the chaff from the oats: evidence for a conceptual distinction between count noun and mass noun aggregates

Article Abstract:

The conceptual distinction between count noun and mass noun aggregates is examined. A count noun is used to label an entity referring to a distinct individual and a mass noun is used for conceptualizing an entity as non-individuated.
