Visual efficiency of television news has lead to its reputation as a teller of truth. Visual conventions never cease to change, however, display by cable news of the ubiquitous 'crawl' running across the bottom of the screen is one transformation, which has been especially striking.

Women's magazines go global

Article Abstract:

More American women's magazines are publishing foreign language additions. 'Cosmopolitan' publishes 43 international editions. Some fear the magazines are promoting American culture at the expense of the culture of the country in which they appear.
