GoLive Systems' $299 CyberStudio Professional Edition 3.1 Web authoring software provides the user much greater control over designs by using dynamic HTML and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). The CSS implementation in CyberStudio is comprehensive and simple with style and structure separated from content. The user can define the attributes of a selected style using the Inspector window and create and catalog tags, fonts, classes and IDs in another window. The software also enables creating pages for both version 3 and version 4 browsers. Other enhancements in CyberStudio include capability to open multiple sites simultaneously, a Find and Replace feature and spelling checker that encompasses entire sits and ability to save any page as a template for new pages.

The package includes a version of Shockwave, Fireworks, and a choice of BIAS Peak 2.0 LE (for Macintosh) or Sonic Foundry Sound Forge XP (for Windows). Macromedia has also reengineered the product's technology for delivering streaming video content via the Web, and can also be installed at the system level. A wide range of common file types are supported, and the Lingo scripting language has been revamped.
