Spellbinder Desktop Publisher 6.2 ($695), from Lexisoft, is a code-based word processor with page-makeup features. The program, which is not copy protected, requires: 256Kbytes; two disk drives; an IBM CGA, IBM EGA (recommended), Hercules, AT & T 6300, or HP Vectra graphics card; an HP Laserjet Plus for graphics; and HP soft fonts or cartridge fonts. Spellbinder takes time and effort to master, but what a user gets back for the effort is precision. Spellbinder is recommended for those who need precise page layout.
