1999: an office space odyssey

Article Abstract:

British Telecom Property is shortly to exhibit its Office of the Future Concept. This is characterized by its extremely compact design, with the cordless desk telephone being no bigger than a mid-range mobile telephone. The flat-screen VDU and laptop are also very small. The PC and telephone are linked to the network through infra-red or radio link. It is clear that systems of this kind will not completely remove paper from the office environment, but they will make office moves and systems upgrades easier and quicker.
