"A house divided": the structure of U.S. environmental law after PMC, Inc. v. Sherwin-Williams Co

Article Abstract:

Development of the US environmental law following ruling in PMC Specialties Group Inc v Sherwin-Williams Co environment pollution lawsuit is analyzed. The structure of the environmental law includes the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act provisions along with common-law and state doctrines. Details on the US Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit's ruling in the above mentioned case are also discussed.

OPIC: encouraging U.S. private sector investment in emerging markets housing

The United States Overseas Private Investment Corp. (OPIC) is encouraging the private sector to invest in the housing market as it also provides fund to housing development in an attempt to promote the market. Details on the challenges in housing development and concerns on inadequate primary infrastructure are discussed.
