A tighter fist

Article Abstract:

Some UK bankers are becoming more wary about making loans to the property market and have restricted the amount they are willing to lend on vacant property to around 50% from 70%-75%. Some observers have pointed out banks are not so willing to lend money if the margins on a deal are low. The UK property market has not been largely affected by the instability in the global financial markets due to their practice of obtains bank loans. US property markets have faced some difficulty as loans were made through bonds which have been affected by the Russian economic crisis.
