Advanced spreadsheet tips

Article Abstract:

The electronic spreadsheet is an indispensable instrument for the real estate industry. Since the majority of the real estate institutions are not centralized and they are divided into several smaller units functioning on a local level, information processing requirements should be done on the local level. An overview of the spreadsheet preparation and several tips for effective data entry are presented.

A cure for mixed-up data

Article Abstract:

The problem of using data keyed in a format different from the one which is eventually used for the application is presented. In the specific case discussed, the data gathered from a market survey were stored in the computer under WordPerfect. The problem of mixed-up data became evident when the data needed to be analyzed by a spreadsheet. A possible solution through data conversion is suggested.

Spreadsheet application development: doing it right

Article Abstract:

Electronic spreadsheets are a useful tool for real estate professionals and they greatly increase the efficiency of individuals. Electronic spreadsheets help determine the relationships between the factors of a project. The three steps in using a spreadsheet are predevelopment of design, application and development of adjustments. The components, layout design and command keys are discussed.
