Beryllium-based engineered materials supplier and producer Brush Wellman Inc, decided to establish its new facility in Ohio due to the state's offer of economic incentives and creative financing plus its low power rates. The incentives came in the form of low interest loans, property tax abatements, off balance sheet financing, funds for road and water line improvements and the machinery and equipment investment tax credit, along with a $3 million worker training package.

Evaluation of a nonperforming hotel loan requires an ability to distinguish the hopeless and those with a minimum chance of succeeding. When assessing the possibility of restructuring a hotel loan, the lender must understand that the hotel's real estate aspect is only part of the assets by which it can earn income to pay offf the debt. Options which may be considered in a nonperforming hotel loan are discussed.
