Climate change at Weatheralls

Article Abstract:

It is necessary to adopt a more energetic approach, according to Weatherall Green & Smith senior partner Greg Cooke. He believes that the company's period of restructuring and consolidation has now come to an end, and is focusing on expanding the business. He is concentrating on the UK, although the company is establishing a network of partners in Europe. The main areas of expansion will be corporate real estate, consultancy and agency, the regions and asset management and investment. He believes that the consultancy division has most potential for expansion.

Time to take the plunge

Article Abstract:

The recovery of the UK economy has led to a revival in the property market and a more favourable environment for the people involved in the UK property industry. A merger between the ISVA and the RICS, which are the two major professional bodies representing those working in the property industry, would be a positive move for their members. Property companies must focus on providing customers with a good service. The outcome of the UK general election in May 1997 should not be detrimental to the improvement in the property market.
