Agents, brokers,and developers need to become sensitive to the changing requirements of doing business globally and learn to incorporate communications and information infrastructure in their projects. The old dictum that a business site is a static environment for doing business has been replaced by the the 'mobile' office, one which requires extensive communications facilities to bring products and services closer to customers.

The 1997 Spring World Conference of the International Development Research Council (IDRC) will have 'corporate infrastructure integration' as its theme. The conference, which will be held in Indianapolis, IN, on May 10-14, 1997, will include talks, workshops and discussions on the topic. The conference is the first part of IDRC's research and educational efforts, which aim to to help members learn the definition, processes and techniques of the new management concept.
