Diversity matters

Article Abstract:

The traditional automotive industries associated with the West Midlands region in the UK are slowly being replaced by a wide range of diverse new sectors, including high tech and food. The region benefits from a plentiful labour supply, with up to 5% of the area unemployed. Former industrial sites are being developed for business use, with rents reflecting location and infrastructure. The area is benefiting from a high level of investment, especially from high tech companies.
