Outsourcing real estate department functions

Article Abstract:

The outsourcing of corporate functions has been practiced by many modern firms for decades. In an age where corporate real estate departments are continually being downsized, outsourcing may more aptly be termed 'resourcing' as the process enables the firm to access more manpower, research, data and expertise than it possesses in-house. Several steps are proposed that would guide firms as to what to do to achieve greater efficiencies from outsourcing activities.

Article Abstract:

It is argued that interest rates will not shift appreciably and will generally hover around their existing levels. Interest rates have declined significantly since the 1980s decade and there appears to be no indication that monetary authorities are considering repeating the mistakes of the 1970s, when they boosted money supply to force down interest rates and, instead, were forced to increase rates because of increases in inflation and expected inflation.

Article Abstract:

Outsourcing has been a highly popular subject for discussion among experts interested in corporation valuation issues. The practice raises a number of questions, such as why firms should outsource functions in the first place if they at some previous point believed it was in their best interests to perform these functions in-house. From another perspective, one would ask why other firms can perform the outsourced services more efficiently.
