Forging livable communities

Article Abstract:

Communities with attributes such as safety, clean streets, walkability combined with good transit, and good schools are desirable amongst buyers. High crime rates and over crowded schools can discourage consumers from buying homes in a community. The livability challenges undertaken by some communities to enhance the quality of living are presented.

Different regions of United States have different regulations relating to fee splitting, rebates and other form of incentives being offered in real estate transactions. Implications of these regulations, and challenges before real estate licensees for offering such commissions are discussed.
