Far Eastern real estate markets are becoming increasingly important and opportunities are arising for UK real estate firms. These include providing advice for companies setting up in China, Vietnam and the Philippines. Traffic flow to the UK from China and Hong Kong could increase if uncertainty becomes more acute in Hong Kong Office and residential real estate values in Hong Kong have fallen from a high built up between 1992 to 1994, when values rose by a substantial amount.

Last deal at Farringdon backs up Ladbroke sale

The final letting of Lincoln Place, part of the Ladbroke Group development above Farringdon tube station in London, England, has allowed the company to bring the development to the market. This covers 203,000 sq ft at 20-50 Farringdon Road, and was constructed in the early 1990s. The company is likely to seek around 80 million pounds sterling for the freehold, giving purchasers a yield of 8.5%.

Mitsubishi takes over Paternoster
