Article Abstract:

The new regulations passed by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and the United States Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to improve the housing situation in areas affected by hurricane Katrina are discussed. The changes to housing regulations and housing finance stipulated by the Congress for the purpose are also discussed.
