A number of budget hotel firms are looking for space in centre of the city. The tourist market, in York, is valued at 250 pounds sterling per year. It has over 4 million visitors annually.

There are several new projects planned for the outskirts of Birimingham, England, with some speculative building going ahead at Trinity Park and Birmingham Business Park. Some local agents point out there is insufficient development in Solihull.
