Industry targeted for compliance with Clean Water Act stormwater requirements

Article Abstract:

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) endorsed the management of National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) to the Oregon and Washington's environmental agencies, the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) and Department of Ecology (DOE) for industrial compliance under federal Clean Water Act (CWA) stormwater standards. The EPA's actions against the violators are presented.

Protecting the neighborhood - U.S. EPA's new "contagious property owner" guidance

Article Abstract:

U.S. EPA (Environmental Protection Agency)'s latest guidance on the Contiguous Property Owner exemption protects the parties of land dealing from the environmental influences of adjacent properties. The answers to various questions of off-site property owners regarding the range of the Contiguous Property Owner protections under the Brownfields Revitalization Act are outlined.

Toxic mold legislation: new developments

Analysis of risk associated with the awareness of public in using toxic mold for constructing buildings has been presented. The requirements related to the sales and leasing of commercial properties under "United States Toxic Mold Safety and Protection Act of 2003" have been emphasized.
