Back to basics: negotiating financing in the 1990s

Article Abstract:

Real estate financing for developers is a process involving a review of a developer's operations, knowing the major personalities in the financial sector and arranging the financial package. Developers are advised to hire outside consultants to evaluate their operations. The cultivation of personal relationship with financiers will facilitate the negotiation process. The financial package should contain all the necessary information such as maps, people to be involved, marketing research reports, product and price structures and site development plans.

Housing or health care facility? Financing assisted living projects with tax credits

Article Abstract:

Funding assisted living facility projects with low-income housing tax credits furnishes a number of opportunities for lucrative alliances between the health care and affordable housing sectors. Furthermore, this cooperation between the two industries will lead to the development of effective solutions for the requirements of low-income senior citizens. New models would emerge that will help address the issues of aging with creativity and compassion.
