Key link in the chain

Article Abstract:

The East Midlands, England, is a very popular location for distribution outlets due to its central location within the UK. Some local agents suggest demand for industrial buildings in the region will rise as Internet and home shopping increases. There is little speculative development despite the demand for buildings and rents remain at about 4.50-4.75 pounds sterling per sq ft. Some distribution firms are preparing to use rail freight, as an alternative to road, and are building warehouses near rail links. The slow down in the UK economy may cause the demand for warehouses to decrease.
