Mancunian rhapsody

Article Abstract:

Increased numbers of people are being attracted to live in Manchester city centre, although buyers are more sophisticated and demand a high quality product which is not alway available. The average price of a two-bedroomed apartment in the city centre can be as high as 375,000 pounds sterling. The population of the city centre has increased from 1,000 in 1991 to over 10,000 by 2000, pointing to a need for affordable but high quality apartments.
