Article Abstract:

The retail industry in Kendal, Cumbria, England, is benefiting from two new developments in the town; the Westmorland Centre and the Elephant Yard site. The rental values of units in the Elephant Yard development are predicted to be around 60 pounds sterling per sq ft whilst those in the Westmorland Centre may increase to 55 pounds sterling per sq ft. Many of the office buildings in Kendal are located above retail outlets but demand remains fairly high. Industrial land around Kendal is in short supply, with much of the designated land already under development.

Waiting for the call

Article Abstract:

The Dearne Valley, Yorkshire, England, is a popular location for call centre operations, particularly as it offers the special conditions and extra funding linked to being an Enterprise Zone. Demand for office space in Sheffield, England, is growing and some agents suggest it would be a good time to undertake speculative development. Others are very pleased Sheffield is being considered as a location for a call centre operation. The area offers lower rents and a good supply of young workers.
