An insight into Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan's proposal to lawmakers to address the threat posed to Social Security with the increasing number of retiree's in the years to come as well as to regulate the two secondary home mortgage market giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac is presented.

The home price appreciation greatly affects the economy of a country and there by leads to job growth. National Association of Realtors forecasted that many markets and stronger areas would contribute for more job gains in Mid and Southwest regions of the United States.
