New rules for the supply of goods

Article Abstract:

The Sale of Goods Act 1979 brought up to date regulations in the UK which had been developed from common law. They were then supplemented by the Supply of Goods Act 1982. Goods should be of satisfactory quality and this includes safety, appearance, and a number of other factors. This applies to goods which appeared sound when purchased, but which failed to last as long as it was expected that they would. Buyers are not deemed to have accepted goods, even if they have arranged for the goods to be repaired.
